Training and Implementation Specialist

This position is responsible for conducting employee educational classes and supporting organizational/client EMR training and Practice Management needs including assisting with EMR implementations. 


1.     Conducts general or specialized educational sessions for employees and clients related to new and existing systems/processes.

2.     Provides suggestions to continually improve processes throughout Lone Star MSO and Clients.

3.     Provides technical support to end users of applications utilized throughout company and at client sites, which includes problem solving access/login issues and answering staff questions regarding utilization of system.

4.     Assists with software application training for all staff and providers.

5.     Assists with the definition and rollout of system enhancements and changes.

6.     Ensures that system security and integrity is maintained at all times.

7.     HIPAA:  Works with Implementation and Training Manager, System(s) Administrator and Clients on HIPPA compliance pertaining to software information services.

8.     Ensures that all information delivered to offices, administration, and Business Services is accurate, timely and complete.

9.  Responsible for projects and tasks as assigned by Manager/Management Team.



1.    Strongly prefer 3 plus years of solid understanding of EMR and Revenue Cycle Management systems with the ability to maintain current knowledge of the EMR systems through training, utilization of resources or other relevant means.

2.    Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate a technical training session; possesses solid communication skills to effectively respond to questions from a group of managers, clients, customers and the general public.


3.    General understanding of learning principles and training methodologies. 

4.    Must demonstrate initiative and excellent follow through to ensure resolution of open items.

5.     Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment when working with staff, providers and management.

6.     Must have the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks with minimal direction.

7.     Adaptable and flexible, must be able to perform effective on an independent basis as well as under direct supervision.
